You're right: he was polished, classy, and, in his prime (which would be the 1950s to early 1960s for my money), nobody else had a voice like that. He could take songs that were way too familiar to the audience from many other singers' versions and make them breathe and live again in unique ways. He had a stage presence and rapport with his audiences that was wonderful to see, even long into his old age. Even at the end, when his voice sadly just wasn't what it had been, he would still draw huge crowds to his concerts and they would yell out things like, "We love you, Frank!" Come on, try to imagine an 80-year-old Michael Jackson, had the poor fellow lived, doing that.
I agree with you. Frank Sinatra was the best. His life was better too. He was an eary civil rights advocate and believed in the equality of all races. He was faithful to his family and friends and nobody could sing like Sinatra!
